equivalent replacement for the old Big Blue drying towel?

Many years ago, I got a couple of the `big blu drying towels` from a recommendation here.
WHat`s the current best choice for something similar?

detailers domain sells what is my current favorite drying towel. it is just amazing. I really don`t love waffle weaves too much. I have a few but they are not as absorbent as the DD towels.

That looks a lot like the carrand towel. Does it have stitching making it into 1/4`s? If so I am afraid of that marring soft PAINT. I would love you to try one of the DD towels

I`ve done a ton soft paints including Toyota/Lexus black, no marks at all. It`s too high of a gsm itself. The stitching is a bit of pain but it all depends on how you hold it. It`s so thick honestly the banded edges don`t even make contact. I`ll snap a pic of my towels for ya. I have... Alot.

The Rag Company has been my towel choice for a year now.

    Good Korean products.

Mr. Gloss- Yeah, the Rag Company MFs are highly regarded by all who try them. Had I not decided to go with Carpro I would`ve bought from them instead.

After several washes and wipe downs using Hydro or Spray N Wipe, the guzzler and most other wwmf towels will begin to push water around instead of soaking it up.

Now I dry the paint and if it needs a touch up, I use Hydro and a PB DMT towel to buff it out. That keeps my drying towel away from wax accumulation.

It can indeed take some extraordinary measures to keep drying towels working OK if one uses certain products when drying! I`ve been pre-treating mine with APC and washing with a MF-detergent, and so far so good.

Note that when my WWMFs quit working, they were often ones that had *not* been used with something I`d expect issues from.

Maybe boil the towels that have this issue? And use vinegar in the rinse cycle? I know what you mean. I use FK425 or Adams Detailer or Aquawax as drying aids and you`ve made me realize why my WWMF`s are loosing absorbancy.

Yeah they are good people. Replaced a rag in two days that I had a comment on.
