I`m looking for a powerful but safe wheel cleaner for some volume work, and research suggests Brown Royal is the best bang for the buck - that said, I see posts saying it`s $17 a gallon. Well, the prices have gone up. With shipping, they`re now $36.90 per gallon! Should I look elsewhere, or would you all consider that the best value still these days?

I bought a large container of the outstanding Autoglym wheel cleaner last year and it worked out to be ~$31/gallon including shipping. Maybe the others will share what they use for their bulk wheel cleaner.

Even with shipping, on a gallon per gallon basis, it`s still much cheaper than sonax or any of the other wheel cleaners that work like those 2 do.

Is this for your new volume business? I used to use wheel acid I got from a CarBrite distributor on my volume dealer stuff, it was around $85 for a 5 gallon bucket. Not as safe as some other stuff, but very effective and as long as you don`t spray it on in the sun or let it dry on the surface, you won`t have any problems. It wasn`t CarBrite brand, some other brand he carried called D`tailed or something, can`t remember. I would spray it on, let it sit 30 seconds, agitate with a brush, rinse it off. Repeat if necessary. Never once damaged anything with it like some people are afraid of with the strong acid. Just don`t use it on uncoated aluminum or it will stain.

ValuGard has cases of their Custom Wheel Cleaner (same product they private label for a few OEM`s) on their warehouse stock reduction sale.

4 gallons per case, no breaking of cases, normally around $85 a case for $30.00 plus shipping.

That is if there is any left.

It`s a great product and safe for all OEM and "coated" wheels, no HF in it.

Look on the bottom left hand of their website for the "specials" icon to get to the list of all the products on the warehouse reduction sale, some good buys.
