Re: Most regreted detailing product purchase?

PBL paint sealant - sorry, but its crap - looks great but protects like crap- got water spot marks on day 2 that wouldn`t come off without polishing
luckily I got in on sale below the $50 price tag

2nd would be the additional bottle of reload I purchased that I am now afraid to use since I had a bad experience with it on top of my PBLv1 on my Challenger

    At my current level:

Purple Power Degreaser (Zep products are much better)
    TheRagCompnay Chinese Tundra MF`s
FK425 - AS A QD, Watered down for a waterless primer or drying aid, it`s perfect.

I would have put that as well... but they were free gifts, I received three of them as well... I still find high spots on my truck almost a year later after the failed attempt to apply it

IME this makes reload issues seem like nothing at all

BF crystal coat for sure, got it as a freebie but man that stuff was a pita.

I`d say reload but it`s just bullet proof so I soak all the daily drivers with it who have no chance of ever being corrected.

Only thing I can say I regret/never use are the 10 6" CCS pads I bought at the very beginning with my GG6. Used once then went to 5" thin pads, so much better on GG6. I have had other disappointing purchases but nothing that I regret trying or did not use till it was gone.

22PLE V2Pro coating. I applied two coats to my 911 and it spotted the $h!t out of it the first time it rained. Took hours to polish it all off and apply CQUK which hazed and started coming off within days. I had to polish THAT off too and ended up using FK1000P from then on. Currently using BF Black Hybrid Montan wax and BFWD spray detailer. I`ll never buy coatings again.

Yes, I did a decon wash and multiple IPA wipedowns before the coatings. Yes I let them flash correctly. Yes I used a fresh applicator every panel. I did everything right and coatings just haven`t worked out for me. I have 10Ml of Gloss Coat that is unopened if anyone wants to make me an offer!

How does that BF Black Hybrid Montan Wax compare to FK1000p?

GG one-step sealant. My car looked like a powdered donut after using that stuff.

Re: Most regreted detailing product purchase?

Why are there so much hate on BF Crystal Coat? I read stuffs about it and thought that it`s just a bad batch. Is it mostly the chemical composition issue or just it being so hard to be used?

    Thanks!
