Difference between Wet Diamond all metal paint sealant and Wet Diamond all Finish Paint Protection

Have read the descriptions of the above and just wanting more explanation of differences between the products and their in practice uses? If there are ideal products in the new line up that are made to top these products and maintain the finish feel free to include.

    Thank You!

Basically the all metal acrylic sealant is for the metal trim, exhaust, engine parts that you want to add a layer of protection too after cleaning them. I use metal sealants to help in maintaing the hard work spent with the 0000 steel wool and APC. =)

The Wet Diamond is for your painted surfaces. After getting your surface all prepped and swirl free, lay down a nice coat of this product on your paint for an amazing slick finish that protects for 3-6 months depending on where you live, how the car is stored etc.

Most people who are going for the ultimate finish will top WD with Midnight Sun to create the truly amazing "Wet ice over fire" system. On dark colors, this combo can`t be beat!

I have and am using both products.

From my understanding the real difference between the 2 is that the metal sealant has a higher temperature rating. This makes it perfect for wheels and exhausts and such that can get very hot. Also I believe the metal sealant is more about protection than looks... BFWD will look better on paint and even on painted wheels bu the metal sealant will offer better protection on the wheels.

Wet Diamond All Metal Sealant is has a much higher concentration of acrylic polymers, you could almost consider it an acrylic sealant (although it still has the other blended Wet Diamond Polymers).

It is more temperature resistant than Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection BUT either product is extremely stable in extremely high temperatures. Metal Sealant is designed, as the name implies, to bond primarily to metal surfaces. Many customers of BLACKFIRE have used it on wheels (painted or metal) with great success as well.

In terms of looks, Metal Sealant (like most acrylics) is going to be extremely shiny and glossy which looks great on the silver painted wheels, chrome, aluminum, and other metals. You could apply it to paint (it won`t harm it) but it will not last as long (on paint) as AFPP.

Thanks for the clarification Todd. I only knew of the difference in temp resistance.
