Can you do 2 coats? If so, how long between?

I am going to say yes, and around 1hr for second coat. But this is based on my use of other Quartz based glass coatings like CQ & CQUK. So I could be off.

    ya. I noticed that.

I also wonder how long the product is good once the bottle is opened. Most others say around 6 months and is one of the reasons they sell in the small bottles supposedly.

Re: BLACKFIRE Crystal Coat Paint Coating ?

From the reviews I have read, one coats seems to be enough. We won`t know about durability until a year or so unfortunately. I guess someone is just going to have to do 2 coats and report back. Ron?

Troy, I would also guess 6 months once opened. Maybe a year at best. Maybe Ray (Vega) can comment??

More is not better with this product. Apply one coat, and you`re good to go.

What is the shelf life of a bottle closed and also once it is opened?

Just curious about this coating (& paint coatings in general). How hard really is this type of coating, & how well will it protect against marring & swirls? Also, can you (or do you need to) apply a wax or sealant on top of a coating, & does this improve the finish or protection? I typically use the BlackFire All Paint sealant & Midnight Sun wax combo on my white Audi SQ5, & I really love the results. How does this coating compare? Also, I typically do a full polish routine every spring. Despite being very careful & meticulous with me (two bucket) washing, I still find I get a moderate degree of mild marring after a few months. Would a coating minimize this? Although I don`t mind (& actually enjoy) doing the polishing, it really is a big job, especially on the very hard Audi paint. Thanks.

    Cheers,

IMHO - It would help the marring situation, but not get rid of it completely. Just put it on my Son`s car and IT LOOKS GREAT !

I really don`t believe the "bang it with a lighter" shows some coatings do.

    Will it help? Probably
Will it stop marring completely? Probably not.

This coating is a "Just wash and dry it and walk away type, from what I`ve heard, it doesn`t like stuff on top of it. Will that stop me from trying? Probably, maybe, ummm errr........
