    Need a blackfire drying agent

Love my Duragloss aquawax when drying a car, have the full BF treatment on my car, and would love the same type product from BF....

when they made the bf aerosol wax, I always wished it was a liquid spray wax instead.

Since I got my hand on the BlackFire Waterless Wash I`ve been running a few tests with it as a drying aid. Works really well IMO>

Re: Need a blackfire drying agent

glen e- I`d step outside of the BF box and use something else. Gues "and what should that be?" will depend on what kind of "pop" you`re looking for...Can`t help but think of FK425, a QD that does "make a difference" IME.

Also, I continue to be impressed with how Garry Dean`s IUDJ works for this, it has me thinking I might not replenish my stock of the QDs I had been using as drying aids, even gave away a gallon of SpeedShine recently.

Keeping in mind that this is a *drying aid* application, I`d want some degree of lubricity and encapsulation so I probably wouldn`t be thinking "spray wax".

Thanks, I have plenty of things I can use if I want to move to another mfr, Prima hydro and DGAW are 2 I own and like. I just think I`d also like to stay within the bf polymer family ,just to try it. Don`t like their spray polymer, though.....

I was also going to say BF Poly Spray. I really liked it. Maybe try a spritz of Crystal Seal

I have tried many; and have to agree with Accumulator. FK425 still does it for me almost every time as my post wash / drying agent wipe down. I have and use DGAW quit a bit as well but FK425 leaves that extra slick feeling I am always looking for.

Thanks for the above posts, I took a suggestion from above and did a BF Rinseless and then a wet spray of BF waterless, then weave dry. Works perfect, "it popped the pop"

Ah, sounds like you found the right combo, and managed to stay in the BF family too.

Yeah, had to try that, I owned them already....LOL

Troy- quick q: what is happening when you need to hit the Hydro 2 with the full force of water? exactly what`s going on mechanically or chemically that you need to do this.?… Just a very unusual application

Re: Need a blackfire drying agent

I remember Todd answering Q`s about this subject of drying aids. He stated that Poymer spray should not be used on a soaking wet car. he said that some drips of water like after using the master blaster , but dont use it as a full on drying aid.

His recommendation was to use the Quick detailer (midnight sun) or the waterless wash.

hope that helps. this topic was on the other autopia forum.

Huh? This IS the other Autopia forum, and vice-versa.

Well, anyway, since this thread has been bumped I looked into the Blackfire Waterless--that stuff is really expensive! I thought Optimum Opti-Clean and Meg`s D115 were expensive, but the Blackfire is still in the neighborhood of 50% more than those even in a gallon of concentrate. Is it worth it?

Don`t know why I`m asking I have enough old-version OOC and UWW to last me until the zombie apocalypse.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
