Which paint cleaning product? Meguairs deep crystal paint cleaner?

I am sad to announce I will have to sell my baby. Or @ least attempt to sell her.

I am selling a 1990 Nissan 300zx. 99k miles. Diamond pearl black. Over the years I just haven`t had the time to appreciate her as much as I did years ago. Her overall condition is amazing. It`s not showroom new. Yes there are a couple of scratches here and there. Nothing big an obvious.

In the past when I used to detail her I used a 3 step system from Meguairs.
    1. Meguairs paint cleaner 2. Meguairs Polish 3. Meguairs Wax. This was a time consuming process but the end result was flawless!

So with my prep. of getting her ready to sell I want her to look as good as possible when done. Without going extremely overboard....

I was @ the store the other day and I could not find any paint cleaner. And no Meguairs paint cleaner ( pre-wax ). All I found was Meguairs "cleaner wax". Yes they have the clay bar system for sale. ( last time I detailed the exterior like clay bars were just starting to make a new for themselves on the shelves. Yes that was a while back..... But she has been taken real good care of in the garage and covered. )

I see online Meguairs has a product called Deep crystal paint cleaner. It is designed to be a pre-polish paint cleaner. Problem is no one sells it in my area. Or 50 mile radius according to Meguairs. And the only place online to find it is Ebay @ about $20 a bottle.

    Is this the going price?
Is this a good product to use?

*** I do plan to try a clay bay system before I use a paint cleaner.

Which paint cleaner pre-polish eould you recommend?

    Thanks in advance

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

You don`t mention if you have a da or rotary or not or if you plan to use it by hand. That will determine what products people can suggest.

Meg`s d/c the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. Funny, I picked up a bottle of it at a discount store for a few dollars. You may be able to find it at Big Lots for a few $$$, at least that`s where I got it.

It sort of sounds like your finishing for something you can buy locally, because there are plenty of paint cleaners out there that do a good job.

I would recommend Prima Amigo. Polish, glaze, and paint clean in one step. Very easy to work with. Top it with any non cleaner wax.
