Some do. ..some don`t
I`ve been waxing all my glass for over 25 years.
I do Every window on the vehicle with my LSP.
When you get a car that has slow moving power windows, I`ve waxed the inside too. It really removes the drag.
I used to use spray wax/sealant on all my glass but now use a dedicated windshield water repellent on the windshield. But I still use a sealant on all my other glass. Only thing I would caution is anything with real carnuba in it, I had bad experiences with some those streaking and doing weird stuff. I stick with spray on sealants like Meg`s D156, HydroMax, Hydro2, Duragloss Aquawax.

My glass is coated with Optimum glass coating. Every now and again, though, I`ll do a quick once over with V07 to add a bit of extra slickness.

My wash products or rinseless wash with a drying aid on top of my polished & sealed windshield. In between washes it`s various QD`s.
There are some wax that say do not apply to windshield.
+1 on not using carnauba based waxes on your windshield. I`ve seen it gunk up the blades and cause streaks. Sealants are better but glass coating are the best.
Honestly, do you really want to screw with your vision by using a product that was never intended for glass in the first place? Save your `nuba waxes for your paint.
Also, I`ve seen a lot of hacky stuff on that guy`s youtube channel. Take his "fixes" with a grain of salt.

I`ve used Collinite 845 on glass. Works as well as Rain-X and doesn`t leave a dull haze behind.
I used to do it with a cleaner wax by hand, I liked the result.
Pinnacle Glass Sealant. Water beads at 30-35 mph
