Back By Popular Demand, Platinum Samples

    Well, just made the order
Looking foreward to trying it out.
Just curious..., a question to past users
How does it stack up against Klasse AIO/SG combo, Blackfire, Zaino, Poordoys EX, etc.
Just trying to get an idea what I am "in for"

Just something else I am "testing" at the moment. I like how it goes on and wipes off easy. It is a synthetic sealant with no cleaners or abrasives AND has a bit of carnuba added for the durability of a sealant and look of a carnube. Ya know how people seal their car, then top with carnuba for "looks"..., well, this hs it in one bottle
also going to test Dulon, a big name overseas.
Crystal Guard and Glare were supposed to send samples, they wrote a BUNCH of times, even asking how I liked their product..., how would I know..., I never received it and as far as I know, they have not sent it???
I am in the process of testing about 20 more sealants and waxes for durability...,
We`ll see how it goes. I am then going to narrow it down to about the best 5 or 6 products and go from there.

I can`t comment on Zaino or BF as I`ve not used either of those. As for UPP vs. EX, it`s not exactly apples to apples. They are both ridiculously easy to use, both shine like the Dickens and both have excellent longevity. Even though UPP is a polymer sealant it has a bit of the carnauba quality gloss to it rather than just a plasticy, reflective shine that many sealants have. Since the EX contains some carnauba along with the polymer it has even a bit more the carnauba look to go along with the polymer sealant reflectivity.

Both awesome products but still a tad different. When you`ve got choices like these, life is good .

    Now that`s my man <img src="http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/8/pain.gif" width="15" height="15">.

I love UPP, have used it many times, and that WOW it`s great <img src="http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/9/biggthum.gif" width="33" height="15">.
Now I`m testing the EX, over my white Renault. Different methods of use, but results are coming <img src="http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/c0/rotlaugh.gif" width="39" height="15">.
Oh, and it can be used as a toper for carnauba wax, I tested it over a section in my Volvo and it came out great, as good looking as if a coat of P21S was applied but easier to use and more slick.

    LOL!!!
    Hard..., No- Time consuming..., Yes!!!
It is the ONLY way to know what products REALLY work and for how long, etc.
Too easy to get tangled in the advertising, marketing, infomercial hype.
I just left one board because of the BS advertising. I tried his products and, IMO, they were some of the lowest quality stuff I have ever tried.
He "tested" his product and supposedly it was the "best", of course..., you can twist and turn and make any test out to be in your favor.
No more hype..., now it is time for real tests, on real car panels, in the real enviroment, where real cars will be protected(or not)by the products we spend all weekend applying when it is such a waste of time if it only lasts a couple of weeks..., IMO.

And that was? (you can PM me, you know, I live on the other side of the Atlantic ocean, I wont tell, and you`ll maybe help me saving money both on products and shipment <img src="http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/t/steamed.gif" width="18" height="27">)

The Platinum sampler is awesome! It really had a big impact on my choice of Products. I hate having to buy full containers of product just to be unsatisfied. The four star sampler is a good pic also.

    Phil,

I agree...the Platinum sampler is a great! Nice to be able to try out a product without having to spend for the whole ball of wax. After trying UPP it became a staple for me.

Wayne...which board was that? i agree, trying products first hand is the only way to know for sure...especially since the "look" of a product is so subjective. Still, I haven`t met or spoken with anyone who has been less than 100% satisfied with UPP. I`m sure you`ll be extremely happy with UPP. Be sure to let us know what you think of it after you`ve had a chance to try it out.

What are you using as a prep for UPP? Did you get the Platinum Paint Cleaner, AIO?

    Platinum Samples

    Happy Easter!

I just ordered Platinum samples too. Really appreciate the opportunity to try it without the expense.

In light of the direction this thread has taken: I know UPP can be used over AIO or AIO & SG with excellent results. Now, I`m wondering if SG can be used over UPP since there is some carnuba in the UPP. Generally, SG shouldn`t be applied over carnuba.

Any benefit to doing it? The combinations are endless!

There`s no carnauba on the UPP and if you want to use both, UPP should top cause it`s shine is superior.

i thought you couldn`t use upp over a wax because upp has to bond to the paint surface. I could be wrong though.

When I wrote `both` I meant UPP and SG, not a carnauba wax. UPP bonds fine over SG, and increases the looks also.
