Yes, it`s the oils. This topic has been discussed at length on here before. I`ve heard that is a temporary fix only though.

^^^Yep...
You`re oiling on top of the wax. After a while, the wax will show up again.
You can use a Mr Clean magic eraser, those seem to be the prefered choice. (of course, don`t hit the paint with that!)

I have used 3M`s wax remover or a citrus base cleaner and a stiff fingernail cleaning brush to remove wax stains...spray on let it dwell a little and scrub...wax stain gone and to never return...

The PB will work just fine but if you want something that will take it all off and bring back the finish....PB TR is the product

I tried the PB`s TR on a Honda Element where the owner got wax in the cladding....I did 3 coats in a course of a day..it looked great after...but after a few weeks the wax stain appeared again...I used a Citrus cleaner we get at work sprayed it on and scrubbed it...you actually seen the wax lift and then used TR again....and no wax residue re appeared...
the stuff we use in work is called citrus sol I believe..it sprays out like a WD-40 type product (oily)...we use it to clean truck parts and it cuts grease fast....I work at a government truck repair facility and all products have to be VOC compliant and human friendly...we are no longer allowed to use any Butyl cleaners...
I sneek a can home every so often..

What I`m having issues with on another board is trying to explain the difference between a Dressing and a Restorer.
Dressing: It will not remove wax... It will dress the trim and look good for a few days to maybe a few weeks then the wax will show again.
Restorer: Will remove wax and some will dress the trim at the same time.
Peanut Butter IMO will dress and will not remove wax.
PB TR will remove wax and dress the trim, again depends on how it`s applied! But there are TONS of other ways to remove old wax off trim. I was successful with rubbing alcohol and a good scrub sponge but wiping with an m/f towel right behind that has been dampened with rubbing alc. (if not, the alcohol evaporates and the wax dries back on!
