From what I was told anything chemical will not harm/remove the coating.
I`d encourage its use every 6 months to keep the coatings hydrophobic properties at its best.
It`s referred to as a decon wash. Use it once or twice a year to keep the coating performing at it`s max.

No issie I did it this weekend and it restored heading to a 6 month old 11k mile coating.
Why use a product made to remove Ferrous Contamination unless faced with that particular problem?
Not arguing, just curious.
I only use coatings on a few wheels, but those never need anything like IronX...if they did need any special treatment I`d reconsider coating them as regular LSPs seem just as good except for their longevity.
A coating like anything else will get contaminated and hinder it`s hydrophobic properties. Ferrous contamination is one of them. An Iron remover helps bring back life to the coatings performance as well as a wash mixed with some APC.
For example GTechniq recommends this for their coatings. Optimum reps have mentioned the same thing.
For Crystal Serum and Exo from GTechniq`s site
Q: What`s the best way to maintain my vehicle`s finish once this product has been applied?
A: Even though, when compared to traditional waxes and sealants, this product is exceptionally durable, we have built an entire and fully compatible maintenance line. All of the products you find here have been tested for 100 wash cycles on EXO, C1, Crystal Serum and Platinum without damage to the coatings.
Clicking on the disable hyperlink would take one to the maintenance products they recommend in their Quick Detailer, Iron Remover, Citrus Wash, Citrus APC, Tar Remover and Bug Remover.

Mebbe their drivers have such a magnetic personality that the cars collect that much more??
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
The Gus- Eh, I guess that since coatings last longer than conventional LSPs that they`re subject to different "age-related issues" than things that only last a year or two.
