    Shop Vac bag???



    Just bought a new vac.

    Do I need to use a bag in the canister or no??

    I use mine with the inner bag but depends on the type of cleaning you do. If you are picking up fine stuff, the bag will be fine but if picking up larger material (sand, lot of dirt), skip the bag since it will fill up fast and the bags are not cheap.

    I`d recommend a bag. That will save your filter from getting clogged up.

    I have a couple Ridgid vacuums. I used a bag when cleaning up sheet rock and taping dust but don`t on day in and day out stuff but I`m not using my vacuum every day. I`d think it would be a good idea for someone making a living with it.

    you don`t REALLY NEED a bag but it does help. yes bags can become costly but so can the filter. I was looking for some bags for my shop vac and found some on amazon. a pack of 3 for $10.

    i have the same vac by another name never used a bag, never replaced the filter. when i empty it, i blow out the filter with a compressor and its been good for about 4 years now
