Which degreaser? And couple other questions.

What is the difference between the yellow and orange citrus degreasers?
Could Grand Slam engine degreaser be used as wheel cleaner?
Is the orange citrus degreaser the same as the bug remover?
Which one is most versatile? But still effective.

What is the difference between the yellow and orange citrus degreasers? I do not think the Yellow is a citrus...for a more detailed description on the differences I would go to their website and look up the MSDS sheets. It lists ingredients for you. LINK ----> 3D Yellow Degreaser for Tires and Rims

Could Grand Slam engine degreaser be used as wheel cleaner? Sure could. May not work as good as a dedicated one but Im sure in general any APC or Degreaser can be used on most clear coated wheels. Dilution is your friend I wouldnt use it full strength

Is the orange citrus degreaser the same as the bug remover? check the MSDS again.

    Orange 88 ingredients list
    Sodium Hydroxide
    EDTA - Biodegradable
    Sodium Metasilicate
    Ethoxylated Alcohol
    Orange Terpenes

    Bug lists
    Sodium Hydroxide
    EDTA - Biodegradable
    Sodium Metasilicate
    Ethoxylated Alcohol

Which one is most versatile? But still effective. IMO the Yellow isn`t really that strong, doesnt work well for me. To me Orange 88 is the most versatile. I use it on engines/door jambs/wheel wells at about 4:1 and carpets/seats at about 15:1.

Get Optimum Power Clean and dilute it 1 (OPC) : 3 (Water) for wheel cleaner. Works like a champ!!

Degreasers can have a lot in common, and a lot of differences.

Three main things to watch out for are:
    - Color additive:
Adds no value or cleaning ability to the product.
Can color stain panels, interiors, and driveways.

    - Flash Chemical:
A lot of degreasers contain flash chemical.
This can cause problems causing the color additive to stain quickly.
Can also cause problems when working in direct sunlight, and on hot temperature panels.

    - Scent Additive:
Can not only stink up the area, but the pH balance of the product can be thrown off by these additives.

    Suggestions:
    - Simple Green Crystal Industrial Cleaner and Degreaser.
    - Meguiars D108: 10:1 dilluted with distilled water.
    - Kitchen Chemistry: Distilled Water / $10% White Vinegar / 1% Dish Soap

My all time favorite now is Grand Slam. We use it on just about every cleaning situation except cleaning gentle leather where we use HD Total instead. Grand Slam is also our strongest cleaner and will certainly require the proper dilution for the job you`re working on. We actually found a great balance at 4 parts water to 1 part GS, but you might like it even less concentrated.

I`d say power washing it would be the most effective way for that situation. Next would be a Rinseless wash and then a Waterless wash.
