new member from vancouver canada

hello, vast amounts of great info here, also vast amounts of opinions as well.
I have been reading for weeks.

I recently picked up a 04 nissan 350z in liquid aluminum (very light silver) I bought some new wax (nxt) and it looked pretty good kind of like a plastic coating and very shiny, beaded very nice when the wax was still fresh. I live in vancouver so it rains ALOT here.
A few weeks later I washed my car (meg crystal wash it think??) and I think most of the NXT was gone.

so I searched the net for a more durable wax and found AUTOPIA.
now im doing a wash, clay, nxt, then collinite 855. car now doesnt have a plasticy look but is still very nice and from what you guys say here the 855 should last a good while.

Anyway great forum guys, keep it up and I'll contribute when ever I have anything constructive to write.

BTW anyone here know why the liquid aluminum (code=k25) color was a 1100 dollar option from nissan, is it better paint than the other colors? thicker, more clearcoat?...it does look awsome though especially at some angles at night and quite blinding when clean in the sun.

sorry for the long post
Tom
