Not exactly new,been away for a while

Well, I've been away from Autopia for a while,fell rather ill these past couple months for many reasons, kinda stepped away from the detailing scene for a bit. I have been reading the forums, but I have not really been posting. Anyway, looking to go back to car detailing in the next 4 - 5 months.

Own a porter cable 7336 buffer,6" buffing pad kit,1 yellow cutting pad,1 orange cutting pad,2 white finishing pads,1 black wax/glaze pad. Own the entire zaino line,some optimum products,some poorboys world products,clearkote,etc.

Looking to switch to Lane's car care products, was wondering what everyone thinks of them, i usually specialize in refinishing higher end cars,but i also work with regular cars, looking into the top of the line hi-temp product line as well.

Would like some suggestions to order some tire dressing,car wash soap,rim & tire cleaner,polymer/synthetic sealant and bulk window cleaner over the next 3 months,my budget is about $100 a month to spend.

Right now my $100 priority is mainly matte tire dressing,a polymer sealant with cleaning properties to hide swirls/scratches when applied with a buffer,and bulk car wash soap & windowe cleaner.

My apologies for making this post so long fellow Autopians, looking to go back into the detail scene doing one-step details for now.

Dude, welcome back. I haven't heard about Lane's car care products, maybe you can post a link. I use a lot of Hi-Temp's stuff and really like it. Best value for the buck and they pretty much meet or exceed expectations.

The latest rave 'round these here parts for a Sealant is Optimum Poli- Seal. I've been waiting to use my current Sealant up before giving this a go but if you search the forums you'll grab a lot of reviews.

Maybe someone else will chime in on the Lane's stuff. Meg's Gold Class is as good as any Shampoo, it's usually available locally and is cheap (compared to boutique brands). Has plenty of long lasting suds and cleans very well. Also works rather well with a foamer.

Staying on the Meg's theme, I've been using Meg's Gold Class Endurance High Gloss on my Audi's tires and it's great. Doesn't fade to brown after the first wash and I've had it last several weeks before re-applying (tires won't be shiny that long just black. Again this is usually available locally and is not that expensive.

I haven't ordered any window cleaner by bulk yet but probably will soon.
