As we say in Nippon: YOKOSO!! ("Welcome" in your strange tongue).

If you don't mind, here's my bit of advice: skip the PC, and get yourself a Cyclo Polisher instead - you'll get far better results (not to mention satisfaction). The extra cost is well worth it. I recommend two sets of white, orange and wool pads (skip the green and yellows).

Happy detailing! Jya, ne !!

Re: A newbie from England to say hello !!

Thanks guys,

I have now been even more confused by the recommendation of the cyclo !! I was set to get a PC !! I think it will just come down to price, i realise that the cyclo seems a better more robust quaility piece of machinery, but for the amount i will use it (just my car....., then my folks, then my bros, then the inlaws, then the neighbours !!!!!) I think the PC is still the one for me, the money saved will allow me to buy the das and sfx pads and 4" spot pads giving me a good base on which to start my polishing !! I think if i was doing it more professionally rather than a hobby the cyclo machine would be a better bet ?

Cheers

309Goodwood

Re: A newbie from England to say hello !!

I would go for the PC first and step up later for the reason's you mentioned.

There are a lot of good PC + Pad kits out there and it won't set you back too much.

After you've used the PC awhile you can always step up but many find it more than adequate for their needs.

Sorry about that! You will save a lot by opting for a PC, of course. I'm not a professional, but the performance of the Cyclo won me over, and I almost never touch my dual action sander (which is what a PC is, in fact) anymore. Whichever you buy, you'll have a ball!!
