Got the detailing bug

I was always more of a performance oriented guy and actually thought taking my car to the car wash and using the brush and about 6 dollars worth of quarters along with a little spray foam on the tires was plenty.

After getting to know n2_space on another car forum He coerced me into buying about $400.00 worth of stuff. I bought a bunch of stuff based on his recommendations.

I read this board for a few weeks and was thinking I could never get the results you guys do.

I bought all this stuff and detailed my silver rodeo first to get a feel for it. I was happy with the results but due to it being silver it wasnt eye catching.

Then I did my car a 2000 Chestnut brown Taurus that was full of swirls and scratches.

I did the normal wash, clay and then jumped in with optimum Hyper compound with an orange pad then optimum polish with a white pad and finished it off with Collinite 845

I was very happy with the results. I worked on it from 8 am to 6pm and had arm cramps all night.

this was the result

Anyway this is a great site and I definately have the detailing bug

Mike

Welcome to the obcession.

Sorry to hear about the arm cramps. Must think about the purchase of a PC and pads. It did not speed up my detailing process much because, I too, caught the obcession but it definitely keeps the arm cramps at bay.

I have the PC. Running it for so long is what gave me the cramps
