I believe the $$$$ of products in my basement makes qualifies me to post here!

Hi all,

I've been keeping my cars nicely clean using OTC products for many years. But, in doing some researching on winter prep I was referred to you guys by a poster from the VWVortex forums. I'm taking delivery of my first spec'd out just for me new car, and I wanted to make sure she was kept up better than I've kept any of my previous cars. Plus, she's black, so I knew I had to kick up my care a notch. Anyway, I've got a small fortune's worth of Jeff Werkstatt and Poor Boy's products just waiting for the new car. I've been reading everything I can get my hands on, so I hope to do you all proud.

which JW and PB products do you have?

I'm guessing your new ride is a VW? If so, is it 'Black Magic'..I love all those different metallic flecks in it

Not taken yet??? The car is on its way from the Vehicle Preparation Center. It should be at the dealer on Sunday. Then it's another 3 days wait for the Country of Origin Cert.

Nope...I actually post at The Car Lounge on the VWVortex. Best place I've found to keep up to date on car news. The new car is actually a 2007 328xiT, black on black with aluminum trim and a manual tranny.

I picked up the JW full-size sample pack which includes:
Prime, 500 mL
Acrylic Jett, 500 mL
Carnauba Jett, 500 mL
Acrylic Glos, 500 mL
Carnauba Glos, 500 mL
Satin Prot, 500 mL
Quick Wash, 500 mL
AutoBody Wash, 500 mL

I also got a bunch of microfiber goodies and wash mits, applicators, etc.

From Poorboy's, I've got the Natural Look Dressing and the Wheel Sealant.

I think that'll be enough to get me started, anyway. I'm quite anxious to get out and give the non-OTC stuff a try.

Exclamation Just say NO to micro-marring of new vehicles

Did you tell them (dealership) about your anti-swirling policy?

Very nice..you should be in good shape! JW are top notch products

What led you to choose JW over other options, out of curiosity?

Sucks that you're getting a new car right before window. Let alone a RWD BMW (I'm assuming since you mentioned the Spec'd out, prep center, and 3-day after delivery..Typical BMW). You should move to S.Florida.

I didn't want to spend my whole life waiting for some of the other products to dry. I'm not a patient woman. After doing a ton of research, it looked like JW was more user-friendly and easier to apply than Zaino or Klasse. And the people that use it really seem to like the results they get. So, hopefully my experiences will be good.

Part of the reason I bought my car now was to get out of a RWD before winter. I love my SC300...it's a gorgeous car. But, it's really a handful to drive. It's extremely tailhappy, which even with excellent snow tires, makes it a royal pain in the arse to drive in snow. My new Bimmer is AWD...and a wagon. Big change for this coupe girl. I decided I needed to be a bit more practical now that I've got a house and frequent trips to Home Depot. Besides, I still have my XJS, and there's no reason I can't Auto-X a wagon.

I don't know about S. Florida, but I ask myself all the time why I live here...I hate the snow!

Yes, we're probably neighbors. Is your deal being done thru FMW?
