Hi Guys!

Hi Folks!

Quite a long introduction! Kieran here - stumbled across this site by accident and am pleased that I have! I am normally found on the UK Galant owner's club website preaching the values of a clean and shiny car. I've had Mitsubishi Galants for some time now, and to me, there's nothing better than a shiny one - really picks out the lines beautifully!

I've attached a couple of pictures for you. The first one is of my very first Galant - a 2.0 GLS. Lovely car once I'd finished detailing it up. It was only just over 3 years old at the time, so it was relatively easy to restore it to a great shine.

The second is of my Galant V6 Sport - we used it as our wedding car and, along with the Entourage of 3 Legnum VR-4s and a Skyline R32 GTR, we wowed the crowd!

And finally, in picture 3 is my current weekend toy.... A Legnum VR-4. 'Legnum' is the Japanese name for the Galant Estate. If you want a quick but discreet and comfortable car, it's excellent.

The Legnum is mainly the reason I'm on here looking up information. Although the paint is original, it's now 9 years old and it's got a myriad of scratches, swirls and such on it. I have been using the over the counter Meguiar's products previously, but they just don't get the finish I'm after with this car. And reading up on here confirms my other doubts about the 'red bottle' Meguar's stuff..... It's okay, but it isn't very durable and there is much better out there..... And that's where I'm at now - Just sold off my remaining Meguiars stuff to another club member and am now ready to invest in some new stuff- but I think i've gone on long enough for now - I'll start a new thread about that in a bit.

Kieran

Thanks - it was looks alone that first made me want a Galant - very striking car and not a terribly common sight in the UK. I couldn't believe it when we were on honeymoon in Florida - much more common out there!
