Yup. The Lake Superior trip was to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, which is a very popular place to kayak, because there are caves carved into the cliffs, and you can paddle right into them. Very cool trip indeed.

I work as a computer engineer for one of the dot coms that survived. Been here 5 years - it's a pretty cushy job so I can't complain.

For fun - http://rockpaperpixels.com

Huge hockey fan, try and watch it go to as many games as I can during the season.
Spend time with my wife, out 7 guinea pigs and our lab.
Detailing almost every day.
I like beers from around the world, always trying new ones.
Trying to sleep, I dont sleep well even with medication. Its 2am and I should be a sleep.
Parents are getting old so I spend a lot of time over there helping out.
Debunking internet myths.
Surfing the net for odd things, things that people claim that I cannot find or things that do not exist.
Politics, race relations, and religion I like to debate.
Just getting into photography, having a hard time learining my D50
And I LOVE to cook!

I own an IT consulting business in NYC focused on Banking and Trading systems. My spare time is eaten up with entertaining clients and commuting.
I do make time a few days a week and get home by 6pm in the summer to ride my bike and clean the cars.
I slow it down in the summer every year to do the things I want, the months from October through April are wasted 12 h per day at work.

Congratulations! I'm doing the exact same thing. I've actually been going through the application process for almost two years, and am just now being scheduled for the academy. I'll be in the very first Fire Academy since Hurricane Katrina here in New Orleans. I can't wait!

Being a firefighter is the perfect job for me because it gives me enough off time to maintain my rental property.

On my time off I enjoy spending time with family and friends any way I can. I love shooting my guns, and riding my motorcycle too.
