Talking My Welcome to You!

Hi Everyone,

Just looking around for some other detailing websites other then the ones I'm on now. If you know me from others. 'Hi'.... Two other detailing websties are USA and UK Mequiar's. I'm not sure if Mike Phillips from USA Mequiar's found this place but of course he will....

I placed my avator on here and under my signature is my pride for now.

I have not dynod and never will. This original engine will probably break if did(not sure though). The only way to find out is to see if anyone else in the '82 year dynod theres back then. I have some that did, I haven't heard from them but some that did dynod put new or updraded the insides of the engine. There for, not an original cross fire engine. I'm sure that it can go more in both. Is yours built in the year '82? If not it's a total different story. I had a truck('96) that was the same as your engine. From my vette and my truck, they were even in fuel octane(87), mileage, horse power and torque.

Chevrolet, General Motors and a few others where trying to bring back the horse power in the years 1973 to 1986 from the government policy on catalic converters.

Thanks for the welcome.

well it had the 2.2 piecea crap that GM should have never made (caviliers,s-10's, everything GM made) had em so i replaced it with a 93 jimmy.....motor, trans, driveshaft and the entire rear end! not one prob yet.
the 2.2 bent a valve at only 60,000 miles!! had valves replaced never ran the same after fixin so i did this task.
also the older (93) 4.3's (vortec)had a cast metal intake plenium as the newer 4.3's (vortec) have a plastic intake! id rater have the cast over plastic! hehe

My '96 truck had the V-6 vortec. I believe it had the plastic but I really didn't look that much. I had no problems with it. I got rid of it with shy of 100,000 miles on it. I too would of taken cast over plastic.

Too bad the vehicle companies don't give out all options what a buyer would like. Rather what the vehicle companies believe the buyers would like.
