First Post

Greetings from Thousand Oaks,

I have read Autopia for several months, joined about 2 months ago, and this is my first post. First off thanks to everyone for all the great information. I feel like I almost know some of the people here because they contribute so much every day even though I have never posted. (Of course I have to remember they don't even know I exist and I have to resist the urge to privately PM them with my own personal questions). It seems if you carefully exhaust the search bottom, you can find most any answers to your questions.

After reading about the PC on here (Dual Action Polisher) and wondering if I really should get one, I went to a Meguiars detail day and immediately bought one with a life time warranty for a fair price.

If there is anything I can contribute in my first post, it is I hightly recommend any one new (or probably old) to attend one of Meguiar's Details days if it is convenient for you. Mike Phillips does a very proffesional and passionate day of explaining car care. I went a couple of weeks ago and was so impressed, I am going again to the Autopia Detail Class this Saturday so hopefully I can put some faces on the Autopia posters. You don't have to go to an Autopia Detail Class, they have classes for all kind of car clubs and they generally have openings the week before the class, so if you live in the So Cal., it's definetely worth a Saturday and you even get two free meals.

Thanks again to everyone who shares their knowledge, experience, and passion about cars!

Doug
