Check out my car-nage!

Approving felt like it took ages, but I'm finally here. The car I own is a 1987 Ford ThunderBird TurboCoupe. It has 227k miles and I'm thinking some of you will tell me to just forget it, but here is what I have to work with:

More pictures than you ever wanted to see.
This is the car when I first purchased it on July 16th last year:

The paint loss you see on the drivers side door is from where I removed the horrid skull sticker. That is the only place where it took paint with it. I assume nearly the entire drivers side was repainted due to the horrible condition of the paint and on the door where you can see burgandy poking through along with rust. On the rear quarter, you can see where the paint shifts from somewhat reflective to just cloudy and horrible. I don't know what happened to the trim on the bumpers. Looks like a horrible job at painting. Nearly all the defects on the car were there when I got it... but the drivers side gets worse every time I wash it. I can see the paint coming off on the towel. The only thing I have done to maintain what was left of the paint is give it the Meguiars 3 step system, and I've clayed it once.
Oh... A little about myself. I'm 17 and I work at a car wash. It's a horrible place to work knowing what I know. All the equipment is older than I am! I have a big interest in cars and performance, although I would never want to work on them for a living.(work on your own car for about 5 minutes and find out why) I will be a senior this year and still have NO idea what I'm going to go for college for. I'm a huge procrastinator.
