Good to have you here at Autopia.
I was in the same position as you just a few months ago, a long time and avid reader of Autopia, just lurking in the background, reading and learning. I joined in May and just started posting a few weeks ago. I'm with you on the addiction too .... but you know, anytime you can read a source like Autopia and learn in a few months, what would take you years by trial and error, it has got to be time well spent!
