Lurker finally making myself known
Been reading a lot on the site lately and decided it was time to ask questions, share some knowledge and be an active member. As the proud owner of an '03 Lapis Blue Metallic Mazda6, I've gotten a lot of detailing help form the Mazda6 forum, which was what turned me on to Autopia. What a great resource for those of us who appreciate a cleanly detailed vehicle. I'm sure I will pick up a lot of useful info here, as has already been the case.
BTW: Here's a quick pic of my baby.

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm sure I'll be here a lot as the weather starts to get warmer and most of my free time is devoted to keeping my car looking its best.

Lots of great people, great ideas...a real tree house for wax addicted people. Just climbed up myself a few weeks back.

That's a very nice car. We have those over here in the UK.
This place is very addictive - it should come with a health warning!

Yes, it is very addictive. I'm already too far gone to be saved from the detailing bug. My family thinks I'm insane for spending so much time on my car. I even offer to do their cars for free because I enjoy it so much. There's just something rewarding about taking a neglected car and making it look better than new

My sentiment exactly. I like to say it like this,
I love taking a diamond in the rough and turning it into a glistening gemstone....
Autopia's is a community of like-minded people passionate about their vehicle’s appearance. You will find many people here that will go above and beyond the call of duty to help you get the best results from your time, money and efforts... just ask.
Welcome to Autopia!
Mike

Those Mazda's are awesome! The paint on just about everyone I've seen on the road always pop, not to mention the smooth, sleek, racing body design!

Thanks for the compliment, ajbarnes. I love the Lapis Blue color when it's all cleaned up. Matter of fact, I just finished giving it a good wash and am going to try out some NXT that I just picked up. May not get the whole thing done, but I'm interested to see what this stuff can do.
