n00b intro

Hey all. Just found a link here from a person on ClubWRX.net. I've got a 6 month old 2004 Java Black Pearl WRX Wagon. Trying to keep it clean, but that black is a bugger. Hoping to learn a few good tricks here. I'm 27 and live in the Metro Detroit area. Before my WRX I had 3 Taurus SHO's in a row. I would have bought another if they were still making V6's with manuals!

Feel free to ask any questions you've got and I'll get some pics up sometime soon.

Thanks guys! Already used the search button to confirm what MF's were. I've been using a chamois and I have a lot of swirl marks and haze that I thought had to be from the chamois, so I was just switching to towels. I'll make sure they're the right type now!

Unfortunately my pockets aren't real deep, so I'll have to pick products carefully. So far I've only used Zymol and 3M products on it, so I'll have to look into some of the others named here.

Troy is on the other side of town. I'm in the Plymouth/Novi area. Kelly Services? I worked through them at the GM Milford Proving Grounds one summer.

Welcome.....

Zymol are a great product (at least I like 'em)but expensive, read the threads here and you'll find some great alternatives.

My best advise is to read up on what others do here before you spend 'alotta' cash

Welcome to Autopia

It is not necessary to spend a lot of money. It is good to see you are using the Search button. Keep using it and you will save money by only getting the products you need. $10,000 worth of products count for nothing if you dont know or have the skills to use them.

This is not an expensive pastime but it is addictive

Steven
