One of the member from acuramdx.org told me this is a good site to know more about detailing so I registered. I don't have much to say now just want to say hello to everyone and I'm looking forward to know more about detailing and to know more friends

Go to the top right, click on "Learn" to start off.
Search the forums, as you will most likely find what you are looking for! We use all kinds of products, as we try just about everything under the sun!
Also, on the left, see the Aconyms as you will have to get used to what we are talking about.. PC, DACP, EX, MF, etc.
Enjoy the forum and get ready to spend a boat-load on all types of cool products!
On top, you will see "SHOP" where we also enjoy good prices on some of the finest products you may never heard before. A good bunch are from Germany and other areas.
You will learn about the best towels to use: MF or Micro-Fiber and can be purchased through several vendors. Autopia also has it's own QD towel called a CBT, which is soft as anything you can imagine as well as towles from DFTowel.
The PC or Porter-Cable is a favorite tool for polishing, so you can get one here at a very good price: Your new PC
Also what it is and how to use it: The Porter-Cable: What it is AND: Beginners guide to the PC
We are here to help!
Regards,
Deanski

Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Vancouver B.C Posts: 767 | Thanks everyone. To be honest I never polish nor wax my car before (scary eh?). Actually I don't own a MDX right now I own a 1998 silver Volvo S70 with about 76,000 KMs. The car is partially painted because I had a car accident about a month ago so the paint hasn't cure yet (is that how you say it?). You may ask me if I don't own a MDX than why the hell am I joining acuramdx.org??? Well, I did own a MDX before, 2002 silver MDX with about 10,000 KMs on it if my guess is right (sold it btw). Never wax both cars before just used MOTHERS Gold Class car wash (used the same for ages because that's the only one I can get). I normally wash my car about 1 or 2 times a month so I don't consider as a clean guy. I heard people from acuramdx.org saying if you don't wash your car alot it's better to have a California car duster and dust the car every other day, is it true??? Don't know if you guys know this but the cars from Volvo makes tons of brake dust, after a week from a car wash the rims are as black as charcoal and there are some spot on my rims that I couldn't remove from washing! Can a clay bar do the job??? There are one thing bad being a Canadian, you don't get to buy Zaino . Do you carry Zaino in your store (??)???? When the members from acuramdx.org used Zaino, it amazed me all the time. Sorry for the long post | |

You might pick up S100 or P21S (they're equivalent products), generally available at Harley-Davidson motorcyle shops. It's the easiest wax I've ever used. Quote: |

| I don't think so. Check out wheel cleaners in the Product Reviews section of Autopia. Then you might try using a sealant (like Zaino or Klasse) on the wheels as a protectant, to reduce the dust build-up.
And

If you're looking for anything (like Zaino) ask me or use the Search with the word "vancouver". You can get it here.
