Smile just joined today!

Hi Everyone,

I've read the Autopia's care tips for a long time and just discovered there is a forum! Can't wait to read more about what people are doing and using. I am definitely a detail enthusiast and would love to learn more from the experts here.

My current lineup of products are all over the counter stuffs...

Turtle Wax Zip Wax carwash, to wash

The Absorber, for drying

Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish (#2), for shine

Turtle Wax 100% carnauba paste wax, for protection

Turtle Wax Extreme Cleaner wax, for cleaning and protection

Meguiar's Scratch X, for scratches and light swirl marks

Black Magic Tire Wet gel, for tire dressing

Turtle Wax Finish 2001 Protection Spray for vinyl

Lexol Leather conditioner for leather

I have two relatively new cars. One has the "exterior protection" package from the dealership (yeah, I got ripped off on that
And the other I am taking the good ol' polish/wax method.

Take care!

Good to meet you love2shine!

By the way, you mentioned using Turtle's Zip Waz car wash...it doesn't get much press around here, but it is my preferred car wash on my gf's Saturn. For some reason, every car wash I use on her car "rainbows" a lot. That's not a problem if you're going to polish or wax, but she doesn't and the rainbow always drives me crazy...well Zip wax wash doesn't seem to do it. Great stuff for her car.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Before you know it, I will accumulate enough knowledge to post whoring (like I already do on another forum )

So far I have been satisfied with Turtle Wax's products but maybe that's because I have yet to seen good stuffs like S100 or Zaino. I have about 300 pages of detail archives to go through. Thanks again!

Welcome to the Forum!!!

After you've been here for a while, you'll become one of the "advise-givers" rather than "advise-takers"!

I use all the Zaino products and I love 'em.

Read everything and you'll just absorb the knowledge ! There's lots of it around here!

Bill

If you go through your first month here without going broke, you'll be one of the lucky ones...
