Hi,

Took me some time to find this site - and I'm impressed. Now I'm just frustrated that I can't easily get my hands on the products you guys talk about!

Dave

Eric,

Thanks - I found one thread, but since you can't search for 'UK' (only two letters) its a bit hard to find those threads!

Thanks
Dave

Welcome butchdave

You can get your hands on most worthy products. For the paint, you have access to the 3M Perfect-it III range of products and Meguiars products as well. You also have a local company, Auto Glym.

Just ask what you need, I've found myself a lot of products locally that I didn't know they existed here simply because I never searched for them.

The most important about Autopia is what you can learn about how to use the products.

P21S is a US brand. There's no GEPC or CW in Europe. P21S products in Europe are from Dr Wacks and the closest products you can get here is their wheel cleaner.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I did see this list before, thanks Lowejackson - but where do I buy them?

Meguiars I know I can get (although the range seems a lot smaller than is available in the US (?))

btw Autoglym I know of course - I have most of their products but never tried their QD as its an aerosol.

Thanks
Dave

Dave, if you do some searches, the addresses and details are around somewhere. One day I will collate all the information for UK folk.

Meguiars UK do sell a smaller range but they do hold a number of items from their Professional (the prefered and best stuff) range or they can get it quickly.

Dont discount Autoglym. I am a big fan of Dr Wacks www.iauto.co.uk. Blitz from www.frost.co.uk 3M can be bought from most motor factors or bodyshops www.3M.co.uk (?) Porter Cable can be bought in the UK but is damn expensive - cheaper to import from the States. Gummi Phledge from any BMW dealer.

Oh yes, you can get one of the P21S range here, the S100 wax, sold at Harley Davidson dealers.

Hi, some things are available you just have to look a bit harder

P.S the first thing i've learnt is "its not what you've got but how you use it" Like most things in life i suppose

And sometimes we just don't know what to look for. For example, some months ago, when I decided I had to take care of my car myself cause there was no one here that could do it for me. So I found Autopia and Detailcity. All those products, brands, glazes, acrylic waxes, polymers, feww... I thought I could never buy stuff like that here. I had never seen those products here, why? Cause I never looked for them, I didn't knew them.

Now, I can buy almost everything that matters locally. Einzsett - complete range, Menzerna - complete range, 3M - professional line (perfect it III, IHG, foams, etc), Meguiars - like in the UK, some of the pro line, Sonax - most products, and last week I've found a body shop that sells Auto Magic (clay magic clay bar), Presta polishes, Lake Country foams, etc...

As soon as you know what you need you'll be able to find most of it.

Thanks again. Time to get out and start looking - after working out what I want of course - too many choices!

I see that Einzsett have no dealers in the UK but are looking for one - any takers... ?

Dave
