Hey guys, I am back after who knows how long. It's been a LONG time but I now have a need for this skill set. I am the owner of a 2010 Nissan Frontier that in all honesty...needs work! I live in an apartment so a power DA is a bit of a reach so I am looking at doing things by hand if at all possible. Plus...the new place is costing me more than previously. I live in Huntsville if anyone is local and willing to help.
I know at some point power is the way I need to go, but is there good products for hand washing/polishing/waxing that are worth looking at? I plan on researching pretty extensively, but any help is appreciated!

Welcome back! Actual correction by way of hand polishing can be a very difficult task to accomplish. You can probably make things nice and shiny, but unless you have massive amounts of arm strenght you won't be able to level enough paint to correct anything more then some minor cobbwebbing scratches. If that. Good luck.

I guess correction isn't necessarily what I'm looking for immediately. I'd like to get protection covered until I can afford either professional correction, or begin that phase myself. Is this feasible? I understand it isn't ideal.

That's ok in my book. Here are 3 new products that alot of people have been talking about as far as ease of use, cost & effectiveness:
HD Polish - pure polish
HD Speed - polish and protectant (All In One)
HD Poxy - protectant
All available here:
High Definition - Pro Line Products | Car Paint Protection – 3DProducts

Would the 3D Polisher do me any better than simply doing it by hand? At 40 bucks, I think I can swing that and a few chemicals. I was under the impression the Porter Cable was the only option.

I'd stay away from a rotary polisher. Could do way more bad then good.
