new from Houston,tx

hey guys and gals My names Kenneth from Willis, Tx just north of Houston.

I found this forum while trying to find ways of removing water spots and light scratch's from my truck.

I'm fairly new to the whole detailing bit but I learn real easy.
I have Clay Bared my truck a few times (that's a dang work out!!)
and have used Mothers products for a few years now.

nothing seams to work for me to be true full.

here's a pic of what I'm working to clean up

Ill start thumbing threw the threads to see what I can find.

Any help with links and products would be great

Hi Kenneeth,

Welcome to autopia and nice truck also.

Removing woterspots depending on their severity can be a bear. As long as you just have spots you are OK, when you have waterspot etching, then things really get hairy.

Do you have any buffing equipment at all (A PC, or a rotary polisher)?

Have you tried a claybar, it's a hit or miss with some paint issues.

On the buffer issue it all depends on how much you want to spend. For 200~ you can get the tried and true Porter Cable ( reffered to as PC ) 7424XP with pads.
