Hey Everybody,

Just wanted to introduce myself.Name is Jamie and im from Richmond,VA. I was browsing around on craigslist looking for a daily driver beater so i can do a t56 in my 94 caprice.Didn't want to spend more than 1000 dollars,so i came across this gem on craigslist

It's a 1993 Pontiac Transport SE-aka the ugliest pontiac i think they ever made lol.The van has been setup to do mobile detailing and has the following equipment;

1. 2 week old troy bilt,honda powered 2600 psi pressure washer
2.Poly Processing Company 200 gallon tank
3.ETQ TQ 1200 Portable Generator
4.6gallon 3 hp shop vac
5.various rags and detailing chemicals

My plasn are to just do this on the evenings when i get off and some weekends,not trying to make a living out of it.Got everything for 800 total,which the equipment alone is worth more than that so i think i made out pretty good.Want to get another van or small truck with a camper shell asap though.Van drives great has the series 1 3800 in it and moves pretty well for what it is and to have 192k on it.Don't know about the gas mileage yet since i just drove it from the guys house i brought it from to my house which is like 5 miles away.Here are a couple more pics on it. Let me know what you guys think

And the money shot lol,my 94 caprice and the transport

I hope to learn alot from all of you on the forum ,have already read a majority of the articles on the site and have gained great knowledge. Have detailed cars before just not for money lol. Going to get use to the equipment and more familiar with what chemicals i should purchase before i do anybody's car but mine.

Re: New Member from VA

So what services are you going to offer? Are you just going to be a mobile "wash service"?

Well best of luck! Hope you can fall in love with detailing! First step i suggest would be get the van cleaned up really well, customers should be able to look at your vehicle and see the quality of work you can do! Good luck!

from NC!

I assume you have never seen a Pontiac Aztek.... LOL

Seriously, clean it up good so customers can see what you do. That is the best advertisement for your work, not having an expensive vehicle to drive.

I have been out of town all weekend but got back this evening and cleaned up the van a little bit.Just washed it down really quick and rattle canned the rims.The clear coat was completely peeled off and pitted.
