Greetings from bawlmer (baltimore)

Well Im gonna follow protocall here so here goes

I wound up at Autotopia b/c I cant find any real pro detailing supply shops mine in Salisbury where I once lived is closed and how I miss Kar Kraft products. I also miss the orig clay magic clay bar and mirror glaze products. Now I have to go online and pay royal for stuff I used to get for half the price.

Detailing to me is relaxing and rewarding, you can only go so fast but you can never have a car to wet or deep in color. Plus it gets you noticed my beater even gets comments for its age and all and what products I use. When I ran my own little buisness the extra income was also nice. Plus the community In which I used to deal with we were all close nit sharing seacrets and helping each other out.

I guess Im old school my favorite products are mirror glaze lineup or kar kraft.
For my car Im still using the old show car glaze with hi tech yellow wax. I prefer carnuba on my own vehicles the shine is deeper and warmer for customers when I did detail I prefered urethane based sealents they lasted longer and for an untrained eye provided them with enough shine. Im mixed about processes I feel use what is neccessary for my finishes hand applications are great for custs I usually did paint restorations plain and simple you need friction and heat so a porter cable polisher and proper arsonal of pads worked for me. I swear by a good clay bar before any paint restoration or hand polish. I wish I still had the pix of the difference it has made in some of my finishes vs not using them. As far as removing water marks ungrit 2k-3k with diamond cut compound.... for polishes show car glaze or swirl remover 2.0 I dont mention kar kraft cause its been a while since I could get my hands on some.

Dream Car tough love to have a 55 or 57 chevy

New to Autotopia
No other hobbies but making money
No Pets

Three other secrets hmm, for glass restoration if you can find the stuff serium oxide slur with a cheap harry the h/o polisher and wool pad, Bug Removal swear by bugs b gone, cleaning rags borax and warm water in wash machine leaves out all the detergent chemicals. And man cant believe im giving this away but ohwell aint gonna get rich off this how about faded headlights man piss away your money on all the cleaners all you need is borax and warm water scrubs it right out. Then hit it with a coat of cleaner wax and there you go headlights like new.

I have lived in md whole life now live near Baltimore

First Car 87 325I restored was the old mans bimmer. Was already motivated to detail learned from him at a very young age.

I would never pay someone to detail my car feel like its an insult to injury, I take care of all my own paint problems etc. Now paint job nother story stear clear dont have the equip or garage to do so anymore.

My dad and I both seem to have an OC complex with detailing if it rains my car is washed and then quick shined with meguiars mirror glaze detailer mist. It gets at least three coats of show car glaze in a 3week span need I say more.

My favorite part of detailing have everyone wonder what the heck im using to get my car so wet. Least favorite dealing with water based finishes and these ultra soft clear coats. Damn just touching my finish causes a scratch. Need to get another polisher to remove some swirls...
