Hi from Ontario

I just wanted to say hi. I've actually posted a time or two. I've been mostly lurking for the past few weeks.

My employer has reduced our work week (and pay) due to the economic slowdown so I find I have more time on my hands, and less money to play with. In the past I've taken my 2005 Nissan X-Trail to the dealer to get "returned to showroom condition". I was very dissatisfied with the results and it wasn't exactly cheap.

This summer I've decided to take on that task myself. I'm a bit of a scardeycat so so far I haven't worked up the courage to do any paint correction: so far good washing technique, clay bar and LSP. Maybe in a few months I'll work up the courage to try and correct some of the swirling I've got.

My DH has a 2008 RX8. He's a no-maintenance kind of guy (cringe). So far he's taken his metallic white car through the touchless car wash a couple of times but otherwise no care for it at all. I think later this summer I'll "do" his car. I'll probably be asking for more advice when it comes time to tackle that because I think it will deserve more care than my older SUV.

Um...how'd you guess?

They're my all time favourite. I saw their semi-reunion this winter when Five Hole: Tales of Hockey Erotica came through town. It was good to see Dave and Martin again. I've been seeing them whenever I can for the last...gosh 19 years.

Now I feel old.

Re: Hi from Ontario

welcome Rheo Hope you enjoy your stay here. When you start correcting paint use your SUV to pick up a body panel to practice on
