Hi all...Want to buy the right supplies the first time!

Greetings folks!

Well I think that some introductions are in order. I live in the Southwest and experience the nice parts of being in the desert (sunny) but the bad parts as well (hot temps and blowing sand/dust).

I have been looking at purchasing products that will make my cars look like the show cars I see when I visit the rallies and such. Deep, rich, "wet" (if you can describe it that way) look on many of the vehicles.

As probably many of you have done, I have a box in the garage filled with my "Detailing Supplies"...things accumulated over the past 10-15 years. WELL I want to get soe good quality products now but dont have TONS of dough to spend so I want to do this right.

I have decided upon getting a Porter Cable! But I also want to make sure that I can have the accessories required to use it well. I am very confused as to the products out there as I used to just wash/wax and call it good. Well the new mettallic paint I have on our 2006 and 2009 vehicles is nice but they both have some water spots on the paint...faint but there just the same. I also have some light to perhaps medium swirling.

Anyhow glad to make my first post but a long time lurker.....suggestions for places to purchase or products????

Thanks a billion and a half for the advice.....

BTW...thanks for getting the server up and running again!

Cheers!

Re: Hi all...Want to buy the right supplies the first time!

Thanks David,

Purchased a PC package with some Menzerna polishes, Wolfgang sealant, and some Natty Red Paste Wax so I am getting excited.

Don't know what it is but I truly enjoy taking care of the cars. May have been a bit misguided in the past but on the right track now!

Regards,

Mike
