Hey guys, just joined up a week ago. I came to this site because I
want to learn everything I can about detailing and of course good fellowship.
I have never really had anything worth detailing accept a Ranger bass boat
(I Love to tournament fish) but I have pre-ordered a 2010 camaro ss black
black on black so I will haft to learn how to keep it up. 2 weeks ago I knew
nothing about detailing, after hrs of reading this wonderful and informative
site, I feel like I know a little more about the process, THANKS to you guys!

Daniel

Re: New member

Hey Dan,
I have been experimenting with polishing and paint correction for a few years and got lots of good info from this board.

Currently I am using a Porter Cable 7424 with 6" and 7" foam pads.
I also use Optimum Polymer Technologies (OPT) products almost exclusively.

If you are starting out fresh, I would highly recommend a Porter Cable 7424 bundle (with pads\backing plate etc..). That is one heck of a machine!

Opinions on waxes and sealants vary and everyone has their own preference.

I have been using the Optimum stuff and it works great for me and the price is not bad either.
