I've used the Autopia detailer's guide for years to help me maintain my 1994 BMW 325is. Recently I've been reviewing posts in the forum to get ready for my next big thing - a 2006 Boxter that I'll pick up Friday. Reviewing the posts helped me identify detailing products and processes to use, as well as problems to be aware of. You don't have to follow many threads to realize what a tremendous concentration of detailing knowledge and experience is available here. Naturally, I joined so I can post questions and follow up on the posts of others.

Welcome. As you hinted to in your opening post, just being here and reading a bit makes you a better detailer which in turn makes your new Porsche look that much better. Sounds like you've been practicing the Autopian ways already on you bimmer.
