Smile Hey there from Baltimore...

Glad I found this forum full of informative detailers when I was looking for some detailing equipment. Been in the trade for some ten years on and off. So many thing I learned from reading your techniques on paint correction. Wow. I just opened a brick and mortar -- Bumper Globe the state of the art car appearance and recon centre in Baltimore, Maryland two months ago. We offer an array from PDR to light hit car body repairs to serve the customer better. Looking forward to blog along with you guys shortly!

Welcome. Like you, I recently opened a shop in the Stafford VA area. Once a month I hold Detailer Days, where a bunch of us get together and trade information. It would be great to get a guy like yourself in one of our meetings.

Also I noticed your avatar and assume that it is a pic of your shop. Oh am curious as to what types of lights do you have hanging over the cars in the pics.

Thanks guys! Sounds good about your GTG. We have two downdraft prep decks with cool white t8's overhead to keep the space bright and dust free. The shop is located in the historic Federal Hill area of Baltimore at the former Pabst Brewery/MD Glass Co warehouse.

Do you have a bigger pic of the prep deck lighting? You can PM if you like. I am interested in maybe getting some.

Couldn't attach the pictures for some reason it didn't upload. You can do a google on Bumper Globe Baltimore and see some pictures of our set up. The manufacturer is ABS Air System in Peoria, Illinois. You would need to have 230v 3 phase to run this prep deck.
