Hello from Daytona

Damn you guys speak another language here. Just looked at one post and it looks like I have some learning to do.
There was a time in my life when I worked at a car dealership "detailing" (or so I thought) cars for delivery. I was basically a lot attendant that would move cars in the lot, do dealer transfers, perform an occasional tow, and clean and prep new and used cars for delivery. I thought I was pretty good at it until recently. I'm handy with most things and understand the basics of paint correction (another term recently learned) as a novice automotive painter. Technically I've been painting motorcycles, not cars but the principles for refinishing are the same.

What brought me here is my new car which has some pretty bad defects in the finish. The dealer doesn't seem equipped to handle the problems and I don't want to have to deal with them so I figured it's time to do this myself. At any rate I'm looking forward to learning and becoming proficient in paint correction. Thankfully, my wife has a minivan that's in need of some restoration so I have a good place to practice on....

If I can manage to get a working version of Photoshop CS3 installed today, you may find a gleaming 997 in the 'Pro Details' forum.
