Newb from Texas saying Hi.

Hey guys, I just joined to research products and stuff. I've been washing and hand "detailing" friends and families cars for a while, and earlier this week I decided I would step it up a notch and ordered about $400 bucks worth stuff. I'm OCD when it comes to cleaning so detailing cars is really fun for me. There's nothing like starting with a mess and ending up with a new looking car at the end of the day.

I got a PC, and I know everyone has an opinion on the best orbital out there, but that's what I went with for now. One day I may upgrade and add an rotarty to it as well.

I ordered some XMT products as well and am excited to begin experimenting with all the different products out there.

So....Hi!

Hi trig... where in Texas are you? I'm in Austin and have just signed up. I'm still reading and saving for goodies. Let me know how your PC work goes. - Adam

I'm up in Fort Worth. I got my stuff last Friday and detailed my 325i over the weekend. My car is silver so I didn't really get results like I wanted but I didn't really start with any problems either. It was really hard to see any swirls in the first place, and I take very good of my car so the only real scratches in it are from a newb mistake the first week I bought it and cleaned it.

I will be doing some darker cars this weekend to test it out more, but I already have some new samples coming and a bottle of Collonite 845 to see if I can get the silver to really "pop".

Here's some mediocre pics of my car after I was done. The black reflection is a window.

Re: Newb from Texas saying Hi.

Looks great, I love the 3 series BMs. I've got a Miata that needs some work (keyed, rock chips, RIDs). Look forward to seeing your work in the Click n Brag!
