New Guy from San Diego, CA!

Hi all!

My name's Doug and I'm new to Autopia, but not new to detailing.

I've been detailing my own cars for about 5 years now, working on a 2002 Saturn, then our family's 1967 Jaguar E-Type, and now my 2007 Mustang GT.

I've got several friends of the family who are encouraging me to start doing detailing on the side (i.e. they pay me to wash/polish/wax their cars) and I'm trying to pick up some tricks of the trade in case my current job goes belly up and I can see about making this a possible career change.

I've been practicing some things I learned at a recent detailing class, in conjunction with tips & tricks that I'd already learned on my own in detailing my other cars, from the classic up to my newest car, and was hoping to pick up some more knowledge here!

Possibly, in exchange for teaching you the ropes, you could help me with some details...at first your pay would be the training I provide, and then after a few, I could pay you some.
