Group Buy: Edge 2000 14mm rotary adaptor

It seems a few people want these and I've been in touch with Dedication to Detail in the US who are the manufacturer/supplier of them. They did point me in the direction of two UK distributors but the first one didn't know what on earth I was talking about and the second one won't respond to any emails, so it looks like I'll be going back to the US.

Any takers?

Ben

As you know Ben, I'd like one.

JJ_ The 14mm rotary adaptor we're talking about, isn't an actual backing plate. It's just a small metal adaptor that fits onto a UK rotary spindle and allows you to use Edge2000 buffing pads. You can't use any of your existing pads with it (unless you have some Edge2000 pads obviously).

What I'd like to know, is do the Edge 6" DA pads work with this rotary adaptor? Any idea Ben?

I don't see why they wouldn't. The size of the connector at the pad end looks identical, you just need a different adaptor itself to fit a PC.

I've been given details of another UK distributor down in Dorset so will give them a ring in the morning.

Right, I've got hold of this distributor and he has most things in stock.

Adaptors - £19.95+VAT
Pads (8") - £18.95+VAT

I said I'd put an order together and get back to him. So, who wants what?!

Here in Finland we can buy the Edge 2000 pads through Smartab (Autosmart) a UK brand if I remember correctly.

I rang Auto Smart and they didn't have a clue what I was going on about! I do now have details of my local distributor though so will give him a call and see if he's anymore clued up.
