Re: uk, PC importing guide

Thanks for the response.

Given that it's the same cost for a twin socket 1Kva unit and the single socket 750va unit I think I'll go for the 1Kva unit.

Might be interesting to meet up some time and compare results once I get the hang of the PC.

Re: uk, PC importing guide

I had some good news today. I've held off getting my transformer because a mate said me might be able to get me one for free and today I found out that he's got me a 2.5 Kva unit which I should be able to pick up this weekend. So all I need is a replacement plug for the 7424.

steveo3002: Will let you know if I get into any difficulties. I know that to begin with it's going to be a learning process.

Re: uk, PC importing guide

Just took delivery of the PC today, ordered on the 5th, great service. All teh required duties were paid

Was a little worried as the box, when delivered, was wet on one side, fearing a bottle had split etc. Parcel Force made a note anyway. When Opened, eveything was fine. Just need some decent weather now

Take care guys, happy detailing

Paul

Re: uk, PC importing guide

Hello All,

Read up on all the notes here - thanks for the input.

Ordered my PC Thursday last - had it delivered today, didnt think it would be that quick so not ordered the said power convering tool.!

I think the below power transformer is good enough but could do with someone confirming for me?

3.3 KVA TWIN OUTLET 230 - 110V TRANSFORMER

FOR USE WHEN USING PORTABLE ELECTRIC TOOLS

TOOL RATING 3300VA

OUTPUT SOCKETS 2 X 16 amp

Input - 240 volts 50hz single phase

Output - 110 volts

**

If it is i can order one and get my motor looking decent!

BB
