Just to say I ordered one today, sent a message about import charges but not sure if that will be enough.
"182_blue" what else can I do to try ensure I will not be charged import charges?

I am also wondering, I have a transformer in my garage, its a 110v 50Hz and 3000vA (peak) 2000vA (continuous) is this ok to use?
WOuld be great if it is a wee saving to be had

EDITED
Just got an e-mail saying parcel is packaged and is on its way.
Superfast service,

Re: uk, PC importing guide

Do you use a darn big drill on that transformer? I'd say it'll be fine being a 3kva

Re: uk, PC importing guide

I got my PC through Autopia just before Christmas and havn't yet got round to getting the transformer. About which I have a quick question.

What is the recommended rating required? The clicky on the first page on this thread is for a 750va item. Is that the one to go for? For the same price you can get a twin socket 1Kva unit though. Would this be worth getting? And is the "16a" the right output?

Does anyone know an answer to this? I'm really keen to order my transformer I just need to confirm the rating.
