maybe, who knows after this fight, he's going to make alot of $'s (it's not like he needs the money) anyways. i wish he would fight Fedor before he retires though...
i can't help but laugh at Tim Sylvia ^ (what was he thinking), he has nothing on Fedor (stand-up OR ground) and he destroyed him like a rag doll. if he (Fedor) doesn't beat the hell out of you standing up (he's got precision accuracy), he'll take you to the ground and punish you equally as bad...

his brother (below) is no slouch either...

Re: Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
wow, Brock is the new UFC heavyweight champion. still feel that there were others more deserving for a title shot before him, but hey... $money$ talks....
here's a video of a girl who wanted to be being choked out and seemed pretty excited to want to experience it...

Yeah, it was pretty early for a title shot for Lesnar. My guess was that with all of the legal battles the UFC kind of wanted Couture out and brought in an enforcer to do it. My guess would be that Nog defeats Mir and Lesnar in his next two fights. He showed some nice hands in his fight with Herring.
I like Nog and Couture a lot. It's nice to see guys with character in the business.

Re: Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
Was a pretty good card.
I also don't think Lesnar deserved a title shot. But i think Zuffa is after some money. Look at all the UFC's and other sideline fights that are going on right now. It is becoming watered down and not the must see event that it used to be. Sure it was a spectacle to watch, the beast against the wylie old champ but there is not much else that is going to draw my $45 Can. every other weekend.
Besides waiting for Penn and GSP to fight, when they should be fighting in their own divisions, if GSP wins i guess he will have to move up to face Silva.

I dont know about that. The UFC puts together some great matches. I was more excited for the Florian vs Stevenson match last night than I was for Brock and Randy. Last night had some pretty good fights. There wasnt a boring one last night. Next month's card is pretty stacked as well. Wanderlei fights next month, and how can anyone NOT like Wanderlei Silva?

Re: Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
i hope the UFC doesn't start staging (it's been in the back of my mind) fights (if they haven't already) for more ratings. just think... with Brock winning, he can attract alot of WWE fans now and who knows later down the line if any other WWE wrestlers will make the transition over the MMA (once again, if they haven't already) as well. there are millions of WWE fans and getting that crowd can definitely make even more $'s for the UFC. you never know these days...

Re: Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
interesting to see who wins between Nog and Mir tomorrow. rather than see either one of them knock each other out, i would really like to see a submission instead...

I started training in 99, went to my first UFC that year (FRANK Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz), etc.....
Stand up- Nog by a mile. Frank has always had bad stand up, slow foot work, and looks uncomfortable. Yes he did knock out Wes Sims but so have journeymen. It only took Frank longer to do it....
Wrestling- Probably close, but Nog has taken down Mirko Cro-Cop in Pride and some pretty good wrestlers. Frank hasn't.
Grappling- Nog by a mile. Frank can submit a lot of people, but in the Grappler Quest he was easily bested by some average guys. Nog has world class Jiu-Jitsu and will make Mir look like an amature on the ground, trust me. It won't be close.
Very lopsided fight in my opinion and not worth watching.

Re: Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
what a disappointment... the true test was to see who was going to win on the ground between Nog and Mir, but ended up being a KO by Mir... also, i think Wand is done. i've said it before... but ever since he left pride he has seemed to have lost that fire that he once had in him and isn't as aggressive and snappy like he use to be... i hope Mir submits Brock once again and takes the belt away...
