WOW 7 UFC's? Thats awesome. I have been to 3 in LasVegas (Anderson Silva -vs- Lutter, Liddel -vs- Rampage and Lesner -vs- Mir). Let me tell you guy who have not seen Lesner in person..... he is HUGE. I was standing next to him at the Mandalay and he is way bigger in person than on TV.
I actually see Mir defeating Big Nog. People forget Mir was the man before his accident. If he actually trains and comes inshape thats a dangerous guy. Well see.....
It's MMA so anything can happen but Couture should take Lesner. Yes Lesner is big, strong and fast but Randy has experience. There is no subsitute for having been in a title fight before. Lesner had not been hit or grappled with a top 10 heavyweight before. Randy has. Again though this will be fun to watch either way. Big $ PPV for the UFC. |

agreed, seems very nice (until you piss him off LOL) and outgoing. he's been a commentator on Pride, IFL, etc.. and i always liked his input/knowledge on the fights/MMA. if you notice at around 4:37 seconds into the video, he catches a kick and then punches. that's exactly what anderson silva did to james "sandman" irvin on his last fight...

Yeah, he's really something else. I enjoy his commentating as well. I think he used to like to pick on Mauro. I love the gag he put Cro Cop up to....punking out Mauro.

That was great! Mauro was shaking and so upset. Cro actually played that pretty well.

off topic... anyone see rashad evans put the "sugar" into chuck liddell's "ice" (he got a taste of his own medicine). wow, he got KTFO... YouTube - Rashad Evans v chuck liddel 2008 UFC (probably will get deleted soon)...

I did! That really made my night since I didn't think the other matches we're that great. Seeing it live was great, just the noise and the way Liddell dropped did it justice.
I'm looking forward to Wednesday night when the California kid fights Mike Brown.
He always puts on a good show. |

it's funny how he (rashad) beat him to the punch and chuck was doing the stalking. he knocked him out cold, i don't think he's been hit like that ever (not even by rampage). people under estimated rashad and you got to hand it to the guy, he is very athletic (knocked salmon out cold with a kick). just goes to show you you can't take anyone for granted in MMA and leave any holes open for someone to capitalize on...

Houston Alexander and Lesnar seem to share a basic technique in the ring: they both have a chest out and just duke it out kind of style. Not so much a "boxingesque" trading of strikes, but more of a brawling approach.
I love watching UFC fights. I wish I'd discovered it sooner.
