Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Southern California Posts: 198 | Claremont, CA Looking for a detailer to just do a simple exterior wash bi-weekly because I have no access to water or my detail supplies on account that I am in the dorms. Don't have to be totally mobile, but somewhere within 5-10 miles would be nice.

Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: SoCal Posts: 2,098 | Re: Claremont, CA When I was in school the dorms had enough room for a bucket.  A Grit Guard, a 32oz. bottle of ONR, a mitt and a WW towel should fit easily in the bucket.
I’m sure there’s a coin-op somewhere near you.

PC. | There are a few coin-ops around. They are in the next city over and in some pretty "sketchy" locations.
There is literally no where to put a bucket in my room. To much other stuff, and my roommate and I are tying to keep it minimalistic.

Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: SoCal Posts: 2,098 | Re: Claremont, CA Claremont’s pretty centrally located. I’ll bet there’re at least a couple coin-ops in less “sketchy” neighborhoods within a reasonable distance. Keep an eye open when cruising the nicer areas. Hopefully you’ll find one.
I haven’t tried ONR yet, but isn’t it like QEW in that you use a smaller volume water per wash than with a standard shampoo? QEW says to use as little as two quarts of water on an average size car. If you can use a one or two gallon bucket, that will take up a lot less room than a standard five gallon bucket. Maybe that would fit in you trunk? In your closet?
