where to buy meguiars #80 in SoCal/OC area?

Does anyone know where I can purchase meguiars #80 locally in the orange county/southern california area? I know I can purchase it online, but I need to get it sooner. Plus, I don't want to pay for shipping if I can get it locally for quicker/cheaper.

I've tried Super Autobacs, Kragens, Pep Boys and Autozone. None of them have it, even though super autobacs seem to have the best selection out of the rest. Any help is appreciated. thanks!

Do you have Car Quest or Napa in your area? They might hold them.

I believe I've seen some Meguiar's Professional line products at AutoZone before, but not sure if it was #80 or one of their other polishes.

Go back and look for it again at Super Autobacs. I know for a fact they carry both #80 Speed Glaze and #83, and I believe #85 Diamond Cut also. They also carry both #20 and #21 Sealant along with other products from the pro line. I really doubt anyone cleaned their shelves either because every time I've been there there's always a lot of stock on the shelves.

Give Richard at Show Car Detailing a ring (714-881-1031 or 310-464-1624). He keeps #80 on the shelf.

He’s in Placentia near where the 91 and 57 freeways cross.

Re: where to buy meguiars #80 in SoCal/OC area?

mikelea4ever: There's a Napa close by, never thought about it until you mentioned it. I'll try to look for it there tomorrow.

BlackElantraGT: I spent about 45 mins at Super Autobacs looking for #80, walking up and down the aisles, looking behind other products, maybe thinking it was hidden behind another product, but I still couldn't find it. I saw a bunch of the products you mentioned, but no dice on the #80. I was there about a month ago and I slightly recall seeing #80 but when I went back today, there was none. Maybe they're out of stock or something?

PC: I'll try giving richard a call if the napa deal falls through. Thanks for the heads up!

I’d recommend hooking up with Richard either way. He has a lot more going on than just selling polish.

meguiar's has an online retailer locator on their homepage. You can narrow it down to those that sell their professional lines

Here's the link:

meguiars.com: Dealer Locator

the last i saw them, they keep it in the aisle where the japenese waxes are (last row to the right, right when you walk in), look right below where they have the megs pads. for some reason they haven't put #80 and #83 where they keep the rest of the mirror glaze products...

Yes, I forgot to mention what BigAl just said.

Lately they've been making their Japanese car car product section smaller and in this area where the Authentic 99 waxes used to be, you will also see some more Meg's and Mother's products at the bottom. Some of their product placement are redundant for some reason? Almost as if to just fill shelf space.

If you do go there again to purchase anything, make sure you sign up for their VIP club because they mail and give out some of the best coupons around. Sometimes after you make a purchase, one of the girls will hand you a cheesy, crappy printout coupon. I've got some pretty good deals there before.

I live in the Glendale/Burbank area. I've noticed lots of autobody paint shops up and down San Fernando. I'll bet that many of them carry Megs professional line.

I went back to autobacs, looked where you told me to (under the megs pads) and they didn't have it there either. I asked one of the employees and he checked in the back couldn't find it there either. He said to maybe check back in a week, they might have put in a new order for it. I don't think I can wait that long, so I'm going to call richard up at showcardetailing.com. Thanks everyone!

Re: where to buy meguiars #80 in SoCal/OC area?

Thanks The Other PC--

Smoothteg--I stock M80 in quarts and gallons as well as M83 and APC Plus and quite few other things like M66 and Porter Cable polishers modded with my PC Guard and other accessories.

Call my cell phone at 310 985 0333 to get ahold of me directly. I'll be polishing out a car at the shop tomorrow--but will be coming in around 11AM due to a doctors appointment on the westside--and I will be at the shop late--well after 6pm. I've got an open garage on Saturday that you're welcome to as well--to stop by or buy products.

Richard
