So there is no one in the local area??? I really would like to shadow a person on a detail when they are using a rotary. I need to speed things up, and increase the gloss.

I'm in Taylorsville. I'd love to meet up with some other detailers in the area. I've got a workshop planned for May 12th that should bring a few detailing minded people together. I'm not using a rotary, but this workshop should display some of the power of using a PC and the right combination of pads and products.

Oh, and as far as good places to get products, pretty much I just stick to the auto paint supply shops. Many of them are Meguiar's and 3M distributors. You can get Farecla and some other hard to find products in places like that too. There is one on 33rd South by the freeway in Salt Lake that I like to go to. They carry Meguiar's pads and you can get a lot of their products by the gallon there.

I would love to stop by as well to the workshop on May 12 as im not far away here in Orem. Didnt see much info on your site for this years event so please update your site or post here as soon as possible.
I have no experience with a Porter Cable but lots of time on a rotory. I used to detail cars in a shop when i lived in Florida but now i just do them for friends and family here. Im always looking to learn new techniques and will gladly share any knowledge i have with everyone else. | |
