Need help with orange peel in Houston/Dallas/Austin

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here, but I've lurked for some time. I was washing my car today and I noticed that it has some orange peel. The car hasn't been painted recently, and I don't know *** happened but it's there.

I'm in Houston/Dallas for the next week, but I work in Austin. Let me know if you or someone you know can help. It's an 02' WRX if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Welcome Supra13. In all likeliness, the orange peel has been there along. Most factory paint these days will have some degree of it. The only way to really get rid of it is to completely wetsand the vehicle, not something you want just anyone doing.

Do you have any pics you can share?

I agree, OP deosn't just show up, it's been there since it birth.

Wetsanding is the only cure and if it's not a show car, it's probably now worth it to remove that much CC on a daily driver as you need the CC to protect the paint.

Plus it would cost you like $1500 to wetsand that whole thing.
